Zitternde Zungen
Zitternde Zungen is a collaboration between Andreas Kempe, Miek Zwamborn and Rutger Emmelkamp. The works we show evolved after a residency last summer when Andreas traveled to the Isle of Mull to research lichen in the Atlantic rainforest near Knockvologan Studio. Due to a long period of drought, the lichen on the trees and rocks did not show themselves in their typical abundant state. Instead of a close study of the natural behaviour and characteristics of lichen, the three artists developed a visual dialogue in which they invited multiple voices of the forest. The exhibition took place at Galerie Ursula Walter in Dresden, Germany.
